BANK OF YAN · FIELD PAPER 001 · 09 SEPTEMBER 2026
Why Bank of Yan is building Yanchinko.
From the parlour to the public market.
Japan gave the world a distinctive culture of play. We want to carry its curiosity into a different setting: markets about the world outside the machine.

A familiar name, with a longer history.
Pachinko is part of the visual vocabulary of urban Japan: the narrow entrance, the repeated rows of machines, the small steel ball and the anticipation of what happens next. That is the cultural reference behind Yanchinko. The name connects YAN to something recognisably Japanese without requiring a single mascot to carry the whole identity.
